Dr. Erin Kallsen

Dr. Erin Kallsen grew up in Iowa City, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Marquette University in Milwaukee and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa. During dental school, Dr. Erin participated in research through the Pediatric Dentistry Department about risk factors for cavities in young children and infants. She won the James S. Wefel Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Competition Award recognizing her work and research achievements, and her involvement in this project is what sparked her interest in pediatric dentistry and led her to pursue her advanced specialty training at the University of Pittsburgh. When not working, Dr. Erin enjoys biking, camping, hiking and spending time with her kitty, Olive.
